Erie Canal: Henpeck Park

Henpeck Park is located in Greece, NY, a suburb of Rochester, NY. The kayak/canoe launch portion was completed in 2008. The park is not that big, but there’s a restroom (port-a-potties) and a place for a picnic. This launch can often be confused with the nearby Greece Canal Park that does not have a kayak/canoe launch. The pictures below show the launch. It can be a little more intimidating then the floating docks but its manageable. I’ve also spotted people put in a little further down by the bridge. You can head west to Spencerport or east to Genesee Valley Park (click the image below to get a bigger version). Also, the parking lot is kinda small so get there early. It can fill up quick on a nice day.
