Hi my name is Eric and I really enjoy kayaking and the Erie Canal. I hope this blog can spark some conversation about getting outdoors on and around the canal. Although mainly centered around kayaking, I will also discuss some walking and hiking. Its always nice to dock your kayak and explore!

Hi Eric I’m looking forward to learning more about your kayaking adventures on the Erie Canal. I love to kayak on Sodus Bay, Lake Ontario, in the Lake Shore marshes along Lake Ontario, and in the Adirondacks. I’ve done some kayaking on the Erie Canal around the Port of Newark, although mostly my in-land experience has been on the Ganargua Creek from Swift’s Landing in Palmyra to Norsen Bridge Park in Newark.
